Terry D. Fuhrmann, age 81, of St. Marie, passed away on December 25, 2016. He was born on October 11th, 1935 to Lille Walker and Kon Fuhrmann. Terry spent most of his life in the agriculture industry, and also worked for the Glasgow School District for many years. Terry also served in the Army Reserves as a cook. He loved fishing, mechanic work, and building small projects in his spare time.
Terry married Denise Birkoski on June 6th, 1970. They raised 5 children on his farm in the “north country” before moving to Glasgow. He worked many different jobs including Arnie’s Electric and the Glasgow Meat Packing Plant before becoming a custodian at the Glasgow High School. After he retired from the Glasgow school system, he started working as a hired hand on Herb Sand’s farm. Farming was his passion, and he enjoyed going to work every day.
Terry loved many things, but most of all, he loved his family. Terry was a devoted husband and father, and he was always willing to talk or lend an ear when it was needed most. He always made time for them and tried to help any way he could. Terry enjoyed fishing, working on his 1962 GMC pickup, and spending time with his wife watching Matlock and Walker Texas Ranger.
Terry passed away from an apparent heart attack while driving home on December 25th, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Denise Fuhrmann (Birkoski), his 5 children; Larry, Duane, Tammi, Bonnie, and Terry Jr; his twin brother Larry, his brother Archie, and their sister Lorraine, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Kon & Lillie; and 3 brothers, Konrad, William & Verlin.

Terry was a very kind caring man. When he checked the schools on the weekends he would always stop by my room and visit with me. He always kept me informed on what his kids were doing. He loved his kids with all his heart, and was so proud of them. When he talked about them his eyes would just light up. Terry will be missed! Betty Truscott
Dorothy Fuhrmann says
My sharpest memories: I’m remembering the rebuilt bicycle that Terry kindly made for us. And because of that, three of us pedaling on the road between Grampa and Gramma Fuhrmann’s and the Con E’s place before we turned to go home across the creek. Especially Teddy pedaling really hard on his 20 inch one. Also, mornings that our father Sam and the Connie boys (usually Terry, Larry and Billy) sat at the kitchen table drinking coffee, talking, waiting for the wheat to be ready to harvest. Good friends working with and helping each other.
Williams Family says
Indeed, I am saddened to learn that you’re mourning the loss of your dear love one. However, it saddens our God even more. No doubt, you have many fond memories which will resurface from time to time. And because you do have memories, certainly shows that almighty God has memories as well. Therefore, with full confidence you can take comfort in knowing that he longs to restore perfect life to all those in his memory (Job 14:13-15; Rev 21:3, 4). Please accept my condolences at this most distressing time.
