I worked —and carpooled with Melvin and Diane for a couple years when we were all working at the GAFB ‘sewing room’ back in the 70s. They were a WONDERFUL caring kind couple and all of us ‘girls’ thought so highly of both of them. Melvin could drive us from town to the base in ANY kind of weather —on the swing shift at that—and we all felt (and WERE) SAFE AND SECURE with him at the wheel. I visited ST. Marie just last month and called them—-being TOTALLY surprised to see their name in the phone book, but they were in Billings. Got to speak briefly with their good friend (and another former co-worker) Harriet. I am sorry I didn’t have the chance to call back and have a visit before heading home to Colorado. You are in my prayers, Diane, and I will ALWAYS remember what FUN all of us had together…on those work trips and at the Keagy Apts!!!! God Bless and RIP Melvin.

I read about Melvin. The text talks about her niece Janelle Johnson.
Is Janelle Johnson the girl who was murdered in 1983?
Thank you
