Denise Lucy Fuhrmann was born on November 7th, 1941 in Glasgow, Montana to Joseph Birkoski and Jennie Sobolewski. Denise worked for many years in the health care field, first as a Certified Nurse’s Aide at Valley View Home, and later at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital.
Denise married Terry Fuhrmann on June 6th, 1970. They raised 5 children on his farm in the north country before moving to Glasgow. In 1986, Denise and Terry started the Hi-Hat Drive Inn, along with their oldest daughter, Tammi. They successfully ran the restaurant for 7 years. Denise maintained her CNA job at the same time, and worked in that field for several years before her retirement in 2002. In 2003, Denise and Terry moved to Saint Marie where they planted flowers, a garden, and fished the Milk River for catfish every chance they had.
Denise loved many things, but most of all, she loved her family. Denise was a devoted wife and mother, and she was always willing to talk or lend an ear when it was needed most. She always made time for them and tried to help any way she could. Denise loved gardening, fishing, and watching Walker: Texas Ranger with her husband.
Denise passed away on Sunday May 21st, 2017 from complications after suffering brain seizures at St. Vincent Medical Center in Billings. She was preceded in death by her husband Terry Fuhrmann after 46 years of marriage, and her daughter Brenda. Her only surviving sibling is Rosalie Winters of Chicago, IL. She is survived by her 5 children; Larry, Duane, Tammi, Bonnie, and Terry Jr. Denise was a caring and nurturing mother, a true friend, and an inspiration to those that were around her. She was always willing to help out, and never judged anyone by their shortcomings. Denise is once again reunited with her loving husband Terry. Denise Lucy Fuhrmann will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

I will never forget all the good times I had hanging out at your
home or all the great meals your mom made. I thank all of you
for letting me be a part of your lives.
I will miss both Denise and Terry as they were great people!

I would like to offer the Fuhrmann family my heart felt condolences.
I can’t say I can share fond memories to the family because I’m not a family member or friend of the family. My reason for writing is to share spiritual encouragement to ones that have loss love one.
I’m sorry for your loss. May the family find comfort in the thoughts at Nahum 1:7 which says, “Jehovah is a good, a
strong hold in the day of distress. He is mindful of those seeking refuge in him”.
