Virgie Schweigert 97, of Glasgow, MT passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in Faith Lutheran Home, Wolf Point, MT. Virgie was born July 21, 1920 in Twila, KY, and daughter to Clavin and Reney Tipton.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and most of all spending time with family and friends. She had a strong faith in God through her entire life.
She was preceded in death by her parents Calvin and Irene (Reney) Tipton, husband Jake Schweigert, Sr., son Jake Schweigert, Jr. and granddaughter Susan Carter.
Survivors include her daughter, Reney Carter and husband Robert of Glasgow, MT., 7 grandchildren, Darrell Schweigert of Cincinnati, OH., Mitchell Schweigert and wife Julie of Miles City, MT, Lori Hinton and husband Perry of New Carlisle, IN., Les Schweigert and wife Jenny of Fargo, ND., Steve Carter and wife Guillermina of San Diego, CA, Gary Carter of Billings, MT. and Shawn Carter of Billings, MT., 8 great grandchildren; Chelsea, Stephenee, Stephen, Ashley, Samantha, Taylor, Tyler and Connor.
As per her wishes, Virgie has been cremated. A celebration of her life is being planned for this April. Bell Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
