In Memory Of

Scobey George Baker, age 44, of Wolf Point, Montana

July 30, 1976 – November 15, 2020

Scobey George Baker Sr. was born on July 30, 1976 in Wolf Point, Montana.  He passed away at the age of 44 at the Harbor View Medical Center in Seattle, Washington on November 15, 2020 from complications due to Covid-19.

Scobey enjoyed spending time with his family.  He would often go fishing with his sisters, Jen and Es, and their kids.  He loved family gatherings where he would laugh, eat and tease everyone.  He enjoyed watching football: always cheering on his team, the Raiders.  He would support and encourage his nieces Gillian Medicine Cloud and Gracelyn Medicine Cloud and his nephews, Geordy Medicine Cloud and Delray Lilley to strive hard in their sporting events.  He would call his sister Kelly Aune and his niece Vivian Baker when they were in town to go eat and visit.  His sons, Davis and Scobey John, were often by his side.  He would sometimes go to peyote meetings with his father William and his nephew Cade.  He loved his extended family and kept those bonds alive.  He enjoyed online gaming and in fact had an online gaming family TSDS who he often called and video chatted.  He was a super happy to be a cat dad, he adopted many cats, but his baby was his cat Raider.

Scobey is survived by his mother Nadine Shawl McClammy and his father William John Baker; his sisters, Kayleen (James) Tretheway, Stanna Plain Bull, Laurie Baker, Kelly (Ray) R B Aune, Jennifer (Gib) Medicine Cloud, and Kendra Teague; his brothers, Gavin Baker, Brendon (Francine) Wajunta Sr., Kale Bricksaw,  and Mahto Cheya Williams; sons, Davis Cravens and Scobey Baker Jr.; grandsons Greysen and Carter; his aunt Ruth (Ron) Jackson; his uncles, Donald Shawl and Vaughn Baker; first cousins, David Rider, Tracey Rider, Carijo Shawl, Stephanie Jackson, Sage Blue Horse, Adam Comeslast, Cameron Shawl, Gina (Billy) Bow, Melanie Jackson, Heather Jackson and Holly Jackson Toavs, Constance Thompson, Little Crow Baker, Annabell Baker, Sophia Baker and his many relatives including the Shawls, the Bearhills, the Nations, the Yellow Hawks; his special friend Valerie White Hawk and his online gaming family.

Scobey is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents David James Shawl and Vivian Marie Bear Shawl; his paternal grandparents Cornelius Diserly and Vivian Yellow Hawk Lindahl; his stepdad George McClammy Jr., his aunts Georgalene Shawl Jackson and Norma Shawl Azure; uncle David Shawl Jr,; cousins, Cassandra Shawl and Janandele Baker.

My beautiful happy Nephew, I know you are teasing those Angels who are carrying you to Paradise just making them laugh – we sure will miss you here on Earth but know you are well, free from pain and discomfort. Have a joyous reunion when you get home to the camp at the end of that pathway of stars. Here know we pray for the family to have the strength to say farewell and the comfort of many memories. Love your Auntie who will miss your smile and your laugh.
