ROBERT GORDON LIVINGSTON passed away on May 30, 2024, at Valley View Home in Glasgow, Montana, at the age of 86.
Bob was born in Glasgow, Montana, on May 28, 1938, to Del Livingston and Alice (Archambeault) Livingston. He resided in Havre, Montana, with his parents until the age of 12. In 1950, Bob moved to the family ranch north of Fort Peck to live with his uncle Lewis Archambeault and his wife Helen.
Bob worked as a valuable employee for his uncle for the next 23 years until the ranch was sold in 1973. The family moved to Glasgow and wintered in Peoria, Arizona, for many years thereafter. Bob worked at golf courses in Arizona and Glasgow during those years.
Upon the death of Lewis and Helen, Bob moved into Nemont Manor in Glasgow in 2003. Bob loved the Manor, living with his dogs and enjoying the Manor staff and residents. He spent many hours tending to the garden and bird aviary at the facility. He particularly loved John Wayne movies among his collection of western video tapes. Bob became a resident of Valley View Home in October, 2018, where he spent the remainder of his life with the wonderful staff at Valley View Home.
Bob is survived by his sister, Mary Lou Shafer, of Joliet, Montana, as well as nieces and cousins, including Buck Archambeault, who acted as his guardian since 2000.
Bell Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Bob has been cremated and will be buried with his parents in Havre, Montana. No memorial service is planned.
Mary&Dain Christianson says
Bob faithfully came to Sunday worship services at Valley View. He loved all the hymns but his favorite was “Jesus loves me this I know”. He was always cheerful. We will miss him.
Louise Twitchell says
I will miss seeing Bob on Wednesday. Always had a smile when I’d say howdy. RIP He missed his puppies.
