O.K. Forest, age 88, passed away on June 26, 2019 at Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point, MT. O.K. was born August 2, 1930 South of Poplar, MT to Bert and Edith (Westfall) Forest. He served in the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1953. On August 10, 1953 he married Jeanette Brenden. To this union they had three children; Deena, Mike and Kim.
Following his discharge, O.K. started his life long career with Glasgow Readi-Mix. After numerous huge jobs like the Glasgow Air Force Base, Byron Tressler entrusted the Wolf Point Readi-Mix operation to O.K. The family moved to Wolf Point where O.K. finished out his tenure of 42 years in the cement business.
Upon retirement O.K. and Jeanette fulfilled their lifetime dream of having a home on Fort Peck Lake. Jeanette made sure O.K. always had a project; although complaining, he loved every minute. They at last had time to do gardening, canning, fishing and boating that they thoroughly loved. Hosting Family for countless get-togethers was something O.K. really looked forward to and enjoyed. Following their Fort Peck adventure, they spent a few years in Bullhead City, AZ experiencing the warm weather. Ultimately, they returned to O.K.’s beloved Montana to be close to family.
O.K. loved his horses, whether it was roping with his son Mike or taking the family on wagon trains and rodeos. He enjoyed the yearly hunting trips with family and friends, mostly into the Montana Mountains for moose & elk. He was always trying to challenge anyone to a good game of cribbage. O.K. gave endless time every year to the Wolf Point Wild Horse Stampede.

I remember working at Hi-Line Home Programs and OK lived in the apartments behind the HLHP building and he’d visit with all of us. Would shovel snow from the doorway for us and even off of our cars! He was always chatty and had a smile on his face. He will be missed! A jovial, smiling man!
