Leslie D. Pettit, 85, of Opheim, Montana passed away April 2, 2018 at his home.
Leslie was born September 16, 1932 to Ruby (Kime) and Frank Pettit in Towner, North Dakota. He married Corenne Nygaard, June 20, 1957 in Columbus, North Dakota. He worked for Northern Electric as a lineman until 1976, when he was promoted to manager. He retired from Northern Electric in 1994.
He was active in any clubs that were available in Opheim and was president of them one time or another. He was a member of the American Legion of Opheim and held a volunteer position on the Opheim Fire Department.
Leslie is survived by his wife, Corenne Pettit of Opheim, Montana; son, Bill (Marilyn) Pettit of Sheridan, Wyoming; grandson, Scott (Anna) Pettit; granddaughters, Amy and Stephanie Pettit; daughter, Jeanne (Wes) Clark of Billings, Montana; grandson, Jordan Clark and fiancé, Melissa Patton and Melissa’s children, Ruby and Louie Sheridan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ruby; his brothers, Tom, Howard, Frank, Walt, Floyd and Dale Pettit and infant sister, Dorothy Mae Pettit.
