Larry Gordon DuBeau, 80, passed away of natural causes at his home in Park Grove Monday, March 26, 2018.
Larry was born January 10, 1938 to Hazel (Cornwell) and William “Eddie” DuBeau in Glasgow, Montana. He was the third of five children and the only one without a nickname. He attended elementary school in Fort Peck and graduated from Glasgow High School in 1956. After high school he worked at the Glasgow Air Force Base.
On December 19, 1957 he married the love of his life, Frances “Fritzie” Bondy. He started working for Eagle Western in 1959 on the second power house in Fort Peck. Continuing construction work, they traveled most of the Western United States for the next 22 years. On August 1, 1977 Fritzie and Larry purchased their home and the trailer court in Park Grove, planning for retirement. In March of 1982 he hung up his hard hat and put on his Bartender apron when they purchased The Park Grove Bar and Café. He served many Valley County residents their first drink on their 21st birthdays. He worked right up till the time of his death.
You couldn’t have found a more honest, trusting man. He was always up for a game of pool or darts. He took pride in his yard and garden and was always ready to rake or burn a few leaves. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family: boating, pulling skiers, or just sitting on the swing watching. He was an avid hunter and fisherman in his younger years.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his brother, Ed and sister, Carroll.
He is survived by his four children: Gordon “Gordy” (Val) DuBeau of Gillette, Wyoming, Roxanna “Roxy” (Willie) Williams of Gillette, Wyoming, Kimberly “Kim” (Doug) Cook of Park Grove, Montana, and Robin (Reed) Sutton of Billings, Montana; his grandchildren, Joshua (Stayce) Williams, Beau (Kate) Williams and Kaytlyn Williams of Gillette, Wyoming, David (Jodi) Tracy of California, Jory (Cortney) Cook of Park Grove, Montana, Shandy (Fuzz) Stingley of Nashua, Montana, Ali Cook (Jaime Riseden) of Great Falls, Montana, Ty and Jax Sutton of Billings, Montana; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon (Dick) Olson; brother, Punk DuBeau and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He will be forever missed.

I am so sorry to hear about Larry, he was a wonderful man. I lived in Park Grove for quite a few years, also working as a waitress/bartender at the Park Grove Bar & Cafe for a while. (Best Ceasars ever, BTW!) I had the extreme pleasure of really getting to know Larry during those times. My thoughts and prayers are with this wonderful family now more than ever.
Thanks for the memories Larry! ?
