Pastor Kenny Azure went home to be with the Lord on October 22, 2020 at 12:52 p.m. in Great Falls, Montana. He was surrounded by his loved ones when he made his departure to be with his Lord and Savior.
He was born to Ben and Margie Azure in Poplar, Montana on August 29, 1948.
He attended the Flandreau Indian Boarding School and held a state wrestling record for many years. He later went on to attend heavy equipment school in Missoula and held various jobs in carpentry and with the Fort Peck Housing Authority before he found his calling as a servant of God.
He married Sandy Shields on October 25, 1968 and recently they celebrated their 52nd Wedding Anniversary and together they had four children: the late Kenny Azure Jr., Azurene (Leander) Real Bird of Phoenix, Arizona, Matthew (Rainey) Azure of Wolf Point, Montana and Mandy Azure of Wolf Point, Montana.
He was a father figure to many. He accepted his calling to serve his Lord in 1979 and Blue Sky Ministries began in 1981 until his passing. He pastored Blue Sky Ministries faithfully for 41 years. He ministered at many camp meetings throughout Canada and the
Northwest United States. He loved his church family with all his heart.
He cherished all of his grandkids with all of his heart, and his grandkids loved their papa just as much. He enjoyed watching his grandkids in their various sports events. Kenny enjoyed taking road trips and seeing the countryside, or just a local cruise to the bridge. He loved the outdoors and mostly the last few years using his tractor to shovel snow in his churchyard.
For those of you that knew him, he was known for his witty sense of humor. We miss you dearly and we know we will meet again so Fly High and let the next chapter begin, you are loved.
Preceded in death by his parents; sons, Kenny and Mike, and siblings.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Blue Sky Ministries with funeral services starting at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family asks that you be mindful of the Covid-19 restrictions. Condolences may be left for the family at bellmortua

Uncle Kenny,
So many beautiful memories, This is your niece , Denise
The last time I seen you was when you gave my mom, Marilyn Azure her service and we buried her right next to Grandpa “Ben Azure”.
You gave us a very special service.
One of my favorite memory of you was when I was a little girl not even a teenager yet. Watching you , my sister Muriel , and other friends and family swimming and dancing to Elvis Presley. I laugh to my self when I picture you doing the twist.I often talk about that day to my family members and we laugh. Every one was so happy.
Uncle Jim and all the other adults were up at the local watering hole.
I know your with our lord Jesus now. And just want you to know you’ll be in my mind, heart, and prays always.
I’m taking a train trip to Montana on 2/18/2021.A three day trip and I will be visiting you to say good-bye.
Thank-You Uncle for being my Uncle
My deepest sympathy to your family
Love,
Neccie
