Joann “Momma Jo” Warwick passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on December 10, 2021 at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow, Montana of natural causes. Momma Jo was 75 years old.
Momma Jo, as she was affectionately called was born in Kennett Missouri on March 26, 1946. She was the first of four children born to Elsie May Klein. September 2, 1970, she gave birth to her son Donnie Higuera. Then welcomed her second child, Sherrie on December 7, 1979. Momma Jo was known for her big heart and helping those when she could barely help herself. Her kindness touches so many people. While living in Senath, Missouri she became a caregiver of many children. Her home was always filled with children and giggles. She cared deeply for all of them and was proud to watch them grow. Momma Jo loved to play games. Momma Jo came to Glasgow in 2018 to be near her daughter, Sherrie. She quickly fell in love with the community and Montana as a whole. She enjoyed sitting on the banks of Fort Peck Lake in the summer and attending the Fort Peck Theater. Momma Jo was always up for a new adventure with her family. She became a resident of Valley View Home in 2019 and quickly made friends. She was a regular in activities and enjoyed helping where she could. She would spend Sundays with her family where they would enjoy cooking together and of course playing games. Momma Jo took great pride in her family and wasn’t shy about talking about them, especially her brothers. Her caring heart and infectious laugh will be missed by all that knew her.
Special thanks to staff at Valley View Home in Glasgow for providing her with excellent care the years she was a resident.
