James (Jim) K. Seiler, age 73, of Glasgow, MT passed away on July 28th, 2017 at the Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital. Jim was born on February 8th, 1944 in Glasgow to Charles M. Seiler and Marie Roos and received his early education from St. Raphael’s Catholic School, graduating from Glasgow High School in 1962. Immediately after graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy, serving 4 years. He married Teddi L. Kamrud on December 27th, 1969 and made their home in Glasgow where they raised two children, Doug and Rachel.
Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Elks Lodge for a number of years and volunteered on the Long Run Fire Department. Jim worked at and later managed Northeast Auto Parts in Glasgow for 25 years, and then worked as a custodian at the Glasgow High School until retirement.
Survivors include: wife, Teddi; son, Doug (Michelle) Seiler of W. Richland, WA; daughter, Rachel Seiler of Havre, MT; 3 grandchildren, Cayden, Erica, and Jeremy; 2 sisters, Marlene Zinner of Aurora, CO and Sherryee (John) Turner of Nashua, MT; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, sister– Lois Marcinkowski and brother– Chuck Seiler.
Per his request, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
