Graydon “Bub” Edwards Jr., age 90, went to be with the Lord on July 22, 2019 at the Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital, in Glasgow, Montana. He was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, and neighbor, who will be missed by all those that knew him.
He was born in Opheim, Montana in 1929 to Emma & Graydon Edwards Sr. His early childhood was spent on the family farm, where his love for the land and farming way of life became evident. He attended the single room Wheatland School just up the road from the family farm through the 8th grade, eventually graduating from Opheim High School in 1947. Upon graduation he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps by beginning to farm and ranch a short distance outside Opheim. In 1948, he married Evelyn Larson in Nashua, Montana. Together they had four children, Ronnie, Alan, Randy, and LeRae. He proceeded to build a family farm operation, that through the years saw him work together closely with his father, brothers, & his son Randy. In 1971, he married Wanda Green, adding her children Judy and Brad to the family. Bub served on the Opheim school board, town council, and was a co-founder/ board member of the Treasure State Bank. He and Wanda enjoyed various travels, and among the other things that he cherished through his years were his dogs, driving the country side looking at crops, helping where he could on the farm by operating machinery, bowling, playing a game of cards, and of course Wanda’s cooking. But most of all he loved the time he was able to spend with his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bub was preceded in death by his parents Emma and Graydon Edwards Sr; brother Fay Edwards; sister Harriett Carlson, and step-son Brad Green.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Wanda; his children Ron (Penny) Edwards of Lebanon, Orgeon, Alan (Sue) Edwards of Aurora, Colorado, Randy Edwards of Opheim, Montana, LeRae Sutton of Enumclaw, Washington, and Judy (Jay)Graham of Libby, Montana; his grandchildren Laura, Ryan, Erik, Jason, Lana, Andra, Jessie, Angela, Amy, Wynden, Jacob, Justin, Joel and Josh; great-grandchildren: Emma, Evelyn, Daphne, Cantyn, Kendall, Samantha, Sterling, Savannah, Mavin, Kamëra, and Everly; his sister’s Marge Burdette of Opheim, Montana and Phyllis Furhman of the Furhman Community, Joan McKewon of Joliet, Montana, brothers Wayne Edwards, and Dick Edwards of Billings, Montana, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Opheim Community Church in Opheim, Montana with Pastor Owen Childers officiating. A luncheon will follow services at the Opheim Community Church.

Judy, Wanda and family,
Bub was my dad’s nickname too, so I always thought that was cool. Both sets of my grandparents were farmers well, so thank you Judy for the Paul Harvey clip. I remember the night of Jay and Judy’s wedding. It was late and the rain was pouring down. Judy married a great guy, the whole thing was over, and rain. I saw him standing looking out at it all and thought ” Bub is having a terrific day!” Rest in Peace Bub, and Warm Regards to you all. Steve Thorstenson
