Ethel May Conatser Wall, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour April 17, 2017 two days before her 95th birthday at Valley View Home in Glasgow, Montana, where she was born and raised.
Ethel was introduced to her Lord with the help of Bythe McClain serving with the American Sunday School Union. As a result, she was active with Sunday School and Daily Vacation Bible School for many years. Later on, Ethel and Bert were involved with Beacon Bible Camp as cook and manager for several years.
On May 28, 1941 Ethel married Albert Wall and brought her as one of the first “non-Mennonite” girls to the Lustre community. She was a helpmate to Bert as it says in Genesis 2:18 and made sure he had his coffee and cookies (homemade) at 10 o’clock and 3 o’clock. When the farm work was done, they liked to travel, but when they were home Ethel enjoyed crocheting, sewing and putting puzzles together.
Ethel was on the first Lustre Schmeckfest committee and was also a breast cancer survivor.
Those that will miss Ethel are her children, Tim (Linda) Wall, Elaine (Eldon) Unrau, Dwaine (Vivian) Wall and Roger (Terry) Wall; grandchildren, Jerry (Sheila) Wall, Tony (Tina) Wall, Rod (Heather) Wall, Kristine (Paul) Kline, Becky (Jeff) Henckel, Cindy Unrau, Steven Wall, Heidi (Matt) Burns, Gretchen (Bob) Schiller, Heather (Roberto) Atienza, Katrina (Matt) Plueger, Sharon Green and Sandra (Thomas) Duncan; 27 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Ethel is preceded in death by her husband, Albert; her parents, William J. & Mercedes Conatser; her sisters, Margaret, Ruby & Delie; a brother, Bill; a daughter-in law, Nancy Wall and a great-grandson, Daniel Green.
A visitation will be held Monday, April 24th, 2017 with family receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bell Mortuary in Glasgow, Montana. Services will be Tuesday, April 25th, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church in Lustre, Montana. Burial will follow services at the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Cemetery.

Deanna Austin says
So sorry for your loss to all of my cousins in the Wall family. Aunt Ethel always had a smile and a laugh. Her and Uncle Bert’s house was one of the best to go to as a kid to play on the small tractor, in the basement and eat her dollar pancakes. I also believe they paid for me to go to Beacon Bible Camp. I will continue to enjoy their picture that hangs on my wall. All of you are in my prayers at this time. Love you all. Deanna Austin, Indianapolis
