Dolores L. Wentland, age 71, of Glasgow passed away April 15, 2018 in Billings, Montana.
She was born in Holyoke Massachusetts, on October 24, 1946. She was later adopted by her loving parents Amos and Charlotte (Frischkorn) Carrignan. She was raised in New Haven, Connecticut and later moved to Stanford Connecticut where she attended high school. The family spent many wonderful days at Candlewood Lake and Cape Cod. She and her cousins, John, Susan and Dick Hendrie practically grew up on the beach. She met the love of her life Harold Wentland at Jamestown College in North Dakota. They were married September 18, 1966 in Bozeman, Montana. She knew that nursing was in her blood and pursued a nursing career. Dolores and Harold raised two wonderful children, Eric was born in 1970 and Nikki was born in 1972.
After the children were in school, Dolores returned to nursing. She worked at Glendive Medical Center for 12 years. While living in Glendive, Dolores’s mother moved in with the family. When Charlotte suddenly needed kidney dialysis Dolores took on that responsibility too. After the family moved to Glasgow, she worked at Valley View Nursing Home- for over 24 years. In 2016 she suffered cardiac arrest and spent many months in Billings at Advanced Care and Aspen Meadows where she received excellent care. She returned home to Glasgow in December. Harold and Home Health Care provided loving support.
Dolores is survived by her husband Harold of Glasgow and a daughter Nicole R. Peterson of Billings Montana. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Eric.

Harold, please accept our sincerest condolences. Dolores was such a magnificent, warm, and loving person, and really the mother of all the young FWP folks, and their extended families. She was so interested in the world, and in people, and all of us McKeans will miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Lorraine Hughes says

Harold–just read in JC publication about Delores. So sorry. Knowing how difficult this can be for you and your family, I send heartfelt prayers for the coming year and that there is solace in the special relationship the two of you had for so many years. Blessings from an old JC classmate. Rich Will
