Barbara Walden, 76, of Glasgow, Montana passed away June 13, 2016 at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow, Montana.
Barbara (Harrison) Walden was born August 28, 1939 to Verne and Dorothy Harrison at St. Helena, Napa County, California.
Barbara attended local schools in Lower Lake, California. She graduated from the University of the Pacific, Stockton, California in 1961. She taught high school in her hometown then worked as an extension agent for Oregon State University in Baker, Oregon.
In 1963, Barbara married Harold Horting from Jerome, Idaho. Harold passed in 1987.
Barbara married Jim Walden in 1988 in Jerome, Idaho where they raised sheep, cattle and horses.
In 2001, after twenty-nine years of teaching Barbara retired, she and Jim moved to Saco, Montana and later to Circle, Montana. They made Glasgow their home in 2008.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Jim; stepchildren, Jamie (Craig) Ivie of Willis, Texas, Jim (Shelia) Walden of Philipsburg, Montana, Bub (Kathy) Walden of Denver, Colorado, and Bob (Sylvan) Walden of Fort Peck, Montana; nine grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
