Deborah Jo (Spillum) Fogle, age 54, of Wolf Point, Montana passed away February 10, 2018 at Billings Clinic Hospital after a courageous and hard fought battle against gastric cancer.
Debbie was born on April 5, 1963 to Bayard and Agnes Spillum in Jordan, Montana. She joined brothers Jack and Tom at home and Loren followed not long after. Agnes married William (Bill) Stanton in 1971 and little brother Ebert joined the family, too. Although Bill was her stepfather, Debbie always saw him as her father and loved him dearly.
Debbie loved Brusett and living on the ranch. She was known to jump on a dirt bike and take off into the pine trees. She went to the country school until 1977 then moved into the dorm in Jordan, MT to attend high school. She was an excellent student and finished her junior and senior years in one to graduate early in 1980. After high school, Debbie moved to Billings, briefly, to attend college, but Jordan called her home.
Debbie married Monte Billing in 1984 and their son, Lane, was born in 1987. She married Keith Fogle in 1989 and their daughter, Loni, joined the family in 1990. The family moved to Glasgow in 1992. Keith went to work at the Post Office and Debbie worked part-time at Dairy Queen, but she spent most of her time home with her children. When both kids were in school, she found joy working at Irle School as a Librarian and loved having the same schedule as Lane and Loni. She never missed a play, recital, or sporting event. Camping and boating at Hell Creek were some of Debbie’s favorite things to do in the summer. She loved music and could be seen on the dance floor jitterbugging her heart out. Debbie loved to play darts, shoot pool, throw horseshoes and drink a cold beer. One thing that can be said about Debbie is that she loved to be the boss.
She went to work at Valley Bank for several years before moving to Wolf Point. She worked at Peavey Grain Elevator for several years, eventually settling into a job in Medical Records at Northeast Montana Health Services, that she really enjoyed. Debbie dearly loved all of her work colleagues throughout the years.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father Bayard Spillum in 1989, her beloved brother Jack in 1997, her step-father Bill Stanton in 2013, and her grandparents.
Debbie is survived by her son Lane Billing; daughter Loni (Tony Gundermann) Fogle; mother Agnes Stanton; brothers Tom Spillum, Loren (Tamara) Spillum and Ebert (Karen) Stanton; grandkids Alice, Charlie and baby Gundermann due in July; several nieces and nephews; special companion Dana Schumacher; daughter-in-law Whitney Swanson and many more special relatives and friends.
